Elizabeth “Bette” E. (Blackwell) Dennis, 88, widow of the late George W. Dennis, of Souderton, PA died on Saturday, January 2, 2010 in her residence surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Fisher) Blackwell.
She was employed by Keystone Transformer Co. as an assembler for 15 years, retiring in 1978. Prior, she was employed at Knoll International, East Greenville.
She was a member of New Goshenhoppen U.C.C. Church. Elizabeth spent many hours volunteering for Meals On Wheels, and was a member of Upper Perkiomen Senior Center, and Souderton Adult Activity Center.
Surviving are two daughters: Sally E. Heeley of Quakertown, and Robin A Dennis of Souderton; Granddaughter, Megan E. wife of Travis Helsley of East Greenville; Great Grandson, Will Dennis Helsley, East Greenville.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Deborah Rahn Clemens. Interment will be in New Goshenhoppen U.C.C. Church Cemetery, East Greenville, PA.
