Eleanor J. (Hall) Morrow, 72, of Douglassville, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Desmond Morrow, sharing 40 years of marriage together before his passing in 2011.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Sarah (Wilson) Hall.
Eleanor was a 1965 graduate of Abington High School and also a graduate of the Albert Einstein School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse and dental hygienist for many years, and then went on to be the office manager for Morrow Electric, an electrical contracting business started by her and her husband, Desmond.
She was a longtime member of New Goshenhoppen United Church Christ where she was a part of the Visiting Ministry. She was also a member of St. Paul’s Church in Stowe where she was on consistory and helped with an after school program for children. She also spent her time volunteering with Birthright of Pottstown.
The things she enjoyed the most were watching her grandchildren play sports, gardening, deepening her faith, and watching Villanova basketball
Surviving are her daughter, Doreen Bell and her husband, Thomas of Pottstown; three grandchildren, Erin, Luke and Elise Bell; her sister, Sheila Wilkens and her husband, Bob; brothers, Tom Hall and Rich Hall and his wife, Lois; son-in-law, Brant D. Hornberger; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Northern Ireland. Along with her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Morrow Hornberger and an infant grandson, Samuel Hornberger
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
