Eleanor M. Guldin, 86, of Pennsburg, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the loving wife of the late Richard “Dick” Guldin with whom she shared 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2022.
She was raised in Kutztown by her parents Harling &Lillian (Long) Huseman. She was a graduate of Kutztown High School and had various jobs before marrying Dick and starting her family. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother of five children, and doating “Nanny” to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her family was her greatest pride and joy and she proudly put them in the center of her life. She loved to bake and read. She also had a green-thumb and always had the most beautiful house plants displayed in her home.
Surviving are her four children, Susan Bardman and husband, Jody, Jeffrey Guldin and wife, Donna, Darrell Guldin and Steven Guldin; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Krista, Heather and husband, Andrew, Stephanie, Matthew and Alyssa; and two great-grandchildren, Margot and Poppy.
She is predeceased by a son, Ernest Guldin; and four sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070 with a burial to follow in New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery in East Greenville. Family and friends may visit with the family starting at 10 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
