Elda E. (Fetterolf) Kehler, 90, widower of Dwight A. Kehler, of Lakeside Drive, Pennsburg, died on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Frederick Mennonite Community. Born in Pitman, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Lottie Edna (Reiner) Fetterolf. She worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Swartz’s in Willow Grove for 3 years and Daddy’s Girl in Hatboro for 10 years. She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Quilting Group.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce K., wife of Larry Gooding of Perkiomenville; 2 sisters, Katie, wife of Stanley Rothermel of Warminster and Ethel, wife of Charles Kimmel of Klingerstown, PA; 2 grandchildren, Steven Gooding and his wife, Leslie and Lara Gooding and 2 great grandchildren, Grant James Gooding and Sarah Joy Gooding. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Mark and 4 sisters, Pauline Masser, Mae Fetterolf, Iva Saltzman and Anna Baker.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2009 at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville with Rev. Homer E. Royer, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. Arrangements are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville.
