Elda E. (Sell) Batman, 94, widow of Harvey Batman, Sr., formerly of Old Zionsville, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Lehigh Commons, Macungie.
Born in Red Hill, she was a daughter of the late Lily and James Sell, Sr.
She worked as an assembler at Allen Organ in Macungie for 25 years retiring in 1985. Prior to that she worked at the Emmaus Shirt Factory and Stauffer Glove Factory at their Palm location.
She was a longtime member of Shepherd of the Hills Church and the Upper Milford Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two children, Harvey E. Batman, Jr. and his wife, Shirley and Shirley Walbert, all of Zionsville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Wilford Batman, five brothers and a sister.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Dr. John Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Shepherd of the Hills Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
