Edward B. DeLoach, Jr., 71, of Red Hill, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward B. DeLoach, Sr. and Marie (Hessenthaler) DeLoach.
Edward graduated from Dobbins Technology in Philadelphia. He was a truck driver for many freight outfits and also worked at Buckman’s Ski Shop.
He was a member of the VFW Post 5954 in Red Hill, where he was the former Commander, the American Legion Post 184 in Palm and the Green Lane Fire Co. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, traveling and skiing.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth M. (Berret) DeLoach of Chalfont; two children, Ian C. DeLoach and wife, Tammy of Gilbertsville and Amy M. DeLoach of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Bridgette DeLoach, Brittany DeLoach, Owen DeLoach, and India Reamer; one great-granddaughter, Rylee; and two sisters, Linda, wife of Ralph Hess of Green Lane and Gail, wife of Arthur Berger of Niantic.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940 where military honors will be performed.
