Edith Mae (Hoffman) Weisbecker, 82, widow of Frank D. Weisbecker, Sr., of Pennsburg, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Lifequest Nursing Center in Quakertown.
Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mable (LaRue) Hoffman.
Edith was a 1954 graduate of Pennridge High School and later attended cosmetology school.
Prior to moving to Pennsburg in 1983, Edith and Frank, lived in Lansdale, PA raising their two sons. While living in Lansdale she spent her time as a stay home mom and volunteered at St. Mary’s Manor. Later in life she enjoyed attending flea markets and auctions, seeing plays with her husband at the Pines Dinner Theater in Allentown, camping with her family and spending time in her pool and traveling with friends.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pennsburg.
Surviving are her two children, Frank D. Weisbecker, Jr. and wife, Jane and Robert P. Weisbecker and wife, Susan and six grandchildren, Meg, Casey, Annie, Sam, Matt and Conner.
In addition to her parents and husband of almost 60 years, she is predeceased by her two brothers George and Stanley Hoffman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Charles E. Romanowski officiating. Burial follows in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
