Earl E. Yerger, 92, husband of the late Esther (Sell) Yerger, of Pennsburg, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in East Greenville, he was a son of the late Charles and Rosie (Eppler) Yerger.
He worked as a Weigh Master for Kibblehouse Quarry and as a Truck Driver for Floyd Hersh Contracting.
Earl served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post # 184 of East Greenville. He was a lifelong member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church in Palm.
Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie Quincoses and companion, Robert Morgan of Barto; daughter-in-law, Nancy Yerger of Pennsburg; siblings, Mae Gerhart of East Greenville; Charles Yerger of NH and Dora Mohr of Quakertown; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Donald, Ricardo, Ana and Angela; 10 great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Alicia, William, Derrek, Nicole, Ricardo, Angela, Alyssa, Daniel and Michael and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Kadance, Brooke and Hailey. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Donald E. Yerger and 6 siblings, Elmer, Elwood, Ernest, Raymond, and Arlene Yerger and Grace Miller.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Nicholas Pence officiating. Burial will be held in Palm Schwenkfelder cemetery in Palm. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 until 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
