E. Ruth Mclaughlin

E. Ruth McLaughlin, 86, of Pennsburg, wife of the late Hugh F. McLaughlin, Sr., passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016.

Born in Roxborough, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Mabel (Gerhart) Plummer.

She was a homemaker, an inspector at Plummer Precision Optics, and worked at The Quakertown House before retiring.

Ruth was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spinnerstown. She enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, and loved animals.

She was the loving mother of Hugh F. McLaughlin, Jr., (Doris), of Pennsburg; Ele Hanshew, of Quakertown; the late Fred McLaughlin (Liz), of the Poconos; Greg McLaughlin (Carole), of Sellersville and the late Neil McLaughlin; sister of the late, Mary Grey McLaughlin and grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Pastor Axel T.
