Drue E. “Reds” Pursel, 80, husband of Shirley (Horn) Pursel of Hereford, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his home.
Born in Nescopeck, PA he was a son of the late Fred C. and Arlene (Karchner) Pursel.
He worked as a truck driver for the Ryder Trucking Co.
Drue was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ, Perkiomen Masonic Lodge #595, Red Hill, Valley of Bloomsburg Caldwell Consistory, East Greenville Fire Co., Community Fish & Game, and the Hereford Gun Club. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, and watching Nascar.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years and his children, Donna Pursel of Nescopeck, PA, David “Butch” Pursel and his wife, Janet of Bechtelsville and Randy Pursel and his wife, Marie of East Greenville; brother John Pursel and his wife, Nancy of Wapwallopen, PA; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Betty Baer and Audrey Bloss.
