Heimbach and Son and also refining her poise and presence at the Philadelphia Modeling and Charm School. Her commitment to excellence and attention to detail also saw her serve as a bookkeeper at Perkiomen National Bank and in the advertising department at Hess Brothers.
In September 1958, Dorothy married the love of her life, Robert G. "Bob" Hemmerle. Together, they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage filled with laughter and companionship, until Robert went to be with the Lord in November 2003. As a dedicated homemaker, she created a nurturing and loving home, faithfully raising her children in the Christian faith. Dorothy's love for and generosity toward her family were unmatched, and she took immense joy in their accomplishments and happiness.
