Dorothy Marie (Latshaw) Graber, 73, of Lakeshore Drive, Pennsburg, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospice Center, Allentown after a recent illness and surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of Robert A. Graber and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 25th.
Born in Gilbertsville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Esther (Schultz) Latshaw.
She was a 1955 graduate of Boyertown High School and was a bookkeeper throughout her life starting at Zern’s Transportation in Gilbertsville and then she worked for several family businesses over the past 55 years. She also had volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program and the Upper Perk Band Boosters and was very active in many of her family’s activities.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Church of Christ, Bechtelsville.
Surviving along with her husband are 2 children, Robert A. Graber, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Pennsburg and Melissa (Graber) Bonenberger and her husband, David of Pennsburg; a brother, Kenneth Latshaw and wife, Rita of Pennsburg; a sister, Anna Derr and husband, Paul of Bechtelsville; 2 grandchildren, Holly and Nolan Graber and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville. A private interment will follow. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a Charity of One’s Choice or to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th Street, Allentown, PA 18103.
