Dorothy (Turping) Goodfellow, 94, widower of James F. Goodfellow, Sr., of Aspen Circle, Red Hill, PA formerly of Philadelphia, PA died Thursday, January 7, 2010 in Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Christine (Sparrow) Turping.
She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Church and a member of the Red Hat Society, Red Hill, PA.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia, wife of George Scheerbaum of Perkiomenville, PA; daughter-in-law, Mary (Ciliberti) Goodfellow of Pennsburg, PA and 4 grandchildren, James F. Goodfellow, III, Megan Thompson, Michael Alan Goodfellow and Patricia Marie Brown. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, James F. Goodfellow, Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment is in New Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in her memory to the church.
