Doris E. (Smith) Nice, 81, of Souderton, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Grand View Hospital. She is the wife of Dennis S. Nice, Sr. celebrating 60 years of marriage on January 14th.
Born in Congo, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Stofflett) Smith.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford.
Surviving along with her husband is her son, Dennis S. Nice, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Sellersville; two grandchildren, Tammy L. Derstine and her husband, R. David of Pottstown and Daniel L. Nice of Philadelphia and four great grandchildren, Grace, Ethan, Eric and Faith Derstine. She was the last and youngest of five children and was also predeceased by a son, Douglas C. Nice in 1975.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Stacie Dougherty officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sassamansville. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and are invited to a luncheon following the committal service at Little Zion Lutheran Church, 267 Morwood Road, Telford.
