Donald E. Yerger, 68, of Pennsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Mack) Yerger celebrating 40 years of marriage in October.
Born in Corning, PA, he was the son of Earl E. Yerger of Pennsburg and the late Esther (Sell) Yerger.
Donald was a Purchaser for Cook Specialty in Green Lane and then for Storeroom Solutions in Malvern retiring in 2011.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill and was an avid Nascar fan and also a Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Flyers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his wife; father; two children, Jennifer L, wife of Joseph Crossan of Parkesburg and Donald J. Yerger and wife, Donna of Boyertown; a sister, Bonnie L. Quincoses and her companion, Robert Morgan of Barto; four grandchildren, Alicia M., William T. and Derrek J. Yerger and Rebecca L. Crossan and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville PA 18041 with Vicar Ryan Ferwerda officiating. Burial follows in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
