Donald L. Hillegass, 73, husband of Judy (Levengood) Hillegass of East Greenville, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Grand View Hospital. He and his wife celebrated 50 years of marriage on April 23rd.
Born in Upper Hanover Township, he was a son of the late Irvin and Helen (Sell) Hillegass.
He worked as a printer at Harleysville Insurance Company for 28 years retiring in 2002.
He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Obelisk. He enjoyed traveling to Texas to spoil his grandchildren and taking fishing trips with his friends.
Surviving along with his wife is a daughter, Kelley Ann, wife of Charles Prahl of Frisco, Texas; a brother, Leon Hillegass of Green Lane; a sister, Alice, wife of Harold Schwoyer of Quakertown and 2 granddaughters, Emily Tian and Mia Li. A brother, Kenneth Hillegass predeceased him.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville. Interment will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories.
