Desmond Morrow, 63, beloved husband, father, grandfather and dear friend, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning. He was the wife of Eleanor J. (Hall) Morrow celebrating forty years of marriage on May 22nd. Des was an electrical contractor in the area for 26 years after training in Northern Ireland.
Currently residing in Barto, he was born and raised on a farm in Tobermore, Northern Ireland and is the son of the late Samuel and Edith (Brown) Morrow.
He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ and was active in many organizations including Greenleaf Lodge #561 F&AM of Allentown, Tobermore Bible and Crown Defenders Loyal Orange Lodge No. 2391 in Canada, was the treasurer of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Football Club to name a few.
Des touched many hearts both in his professional and personal lives. His loss is deeply felt by all who loved him and all who knew him.
Surviving along with his wife is a daughter, Doreen Bell and her husband, Thomas of North Coventry Township; son-in-law, Brant D. Hornberger of Milford, MA; three grandchildren, Erin Lily Bell, Luke Thomas Bell and Elise Grace Bell; as well as two brothers in Northern Ireland, Roy Morrow and his wife, Marie and Wilson Morrow, widower of Kathleen. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Morrow Hornberger; a grandson, Samuel Hornberger and two brothers, George and Ronald Morrow.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church.
