Dennis L. Seasholtz, 60, of Pennsburg, died peacefully on Tuesday, July, 24, 2012. He was born in Allentown, PA, on June 22, 1952, to the late John W. and Elizabeth (Bord) Seasholtz. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Giulian) Seasholtz.

Denny was employed by Merck Corporation, Lansdale, PA. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pennsburg, PA, and the East Greenville Fire Company, serving for several years on their House Committee and as a bartender in their banquet room and grill. He was also a member of the Owls Nest, East Greenville, PA, American Legion Post 184, East Greenville, PA, and the Red Hill Fire Company and V.F.W. in Red Hill, PA. Denny will be remembered for his love of family and friends, strong work ethic, passion for sports, and his unique style of humor.

Denny was a 1970 graduate of the Perkiomen School, Pennsburg, PA. On June 8, 1990, he was inducted into their Hall of Athletic Honor for outstanding contributions to their program in baseball, football, and basketball. Following high school, he continued to enjoy a successful run in sports, playing softball for St. Mark’s Church League from 1977 to 1988 and slow pitch for Lehigh Valley Dairy and the East Greenville Fire Company. Denny coached Little League and Junior Legion baseball, leading his Junior Legion team (Mets) to the 1st place championship in 1995. He also participated in the East Greenville Fire Company Golf League, the Sunday Night Couples Bowling League, partnered with his wife, and the Wednesday Night Industrial Bowling League.

In addition to his wife, Denny is survived by his children, Melissa Schaffer and husband, Ryan, of Emmaus, PA, sons, Christopher Seasholtz and wife Rachelle, of Perkiomenville, PA, and Kyle Seasholtz, currently stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in NJ; a brother, John Seasholtz and wife, Brenda of Crystal River, FL; four sisters, Bonnie Henry of Mohrsville, PA , Patty Detweiler and husband, John of Spring Mount, PA, Joanie Mack and husband, Ray of Green Lane, PA, and Debbie Bartholomew and husband Rick of Port Orange, FL; four grandchildren, Colin, Andrew, and Sarah Schaffer, and Paige Seasholtz; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, there will be a celebration of life gathering at the East Greenville Fire Company Social Hall. All are welcome to attend.
