Dennis E. Davis, 69, of Pennsburg, PA, passed away from a recent illness on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Nancy M. (Hummer Davis).
He was born in Abington to the late Ellwood Davis and the late Elizabeth (Bret) Gallagher. Dennis served in Japan in the Army from 1969-1971. For more than thirty years, he was employed as a truck mechanic for Ryder Trucking and then its successor Dickinson Fleet until retiring this past March.
Dennis loved walking his dogs in the nearby parks and photographing the local wildlife. He also enjoyed model building.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, he is survived by his sons: Matthew and Michael, husband of Kelly; grandchildren: Freya and Skyler; Aunt Kay Neal; sisters: Kathleen Gallagher and Patricia, wife of Ron Gerhardt; brothers: Glenn Davis, Vincent and Dennis Gallagher and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon, late wife of Gary Kaplan.
Due to the health crisis, services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue, 57 Mine Hill Rd., Washington, NJ 07882 or visit www.midatlanticbassets.com.
