Dean R. “Gump” Gebert, 52, of Pennsburg died suddenly on Sunday, January 22, 2012 in his home.
Born in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Donald S. and Gladys N. (Brey) Gebert.
He was a plumber working for various local contractors and a 1977 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown, the NRA and the Mumbauersville Gun Club. He enjoyed motorcycle racing and was an avid Eagles fan and liked Frank Sinatra and John Wayne.
Surviving are a brother, Steven R. Gebert and wife, Cheryl of East Greenville; a sister, Doreen G. Renninger and husband, Gregory of Gilbertsville and several nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Susan Lynch officiating. Interment follows in Frieden’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening and also 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home.
