David W. Volker, 78, of Quakertown and formerly of East Greenville passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Cressman) Volker celebrating 56 years of marriage on July 9, 2016.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Jean (Tilt) Volker.
He was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and afterwards received training in the automotive field earning the title of automatic transmission specialist. He retired in 2006 from Volker's Texaco which he owned and managed for many years. After retirement, he worked part time for Bergey's Chevrolet in Colmar for 5 years.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Zionhill, PA. His favorite past times were riding his motorcycle, fishing and spending time with family.
Along with his wife, David is survived by two daughters, Michelle Y. Logan and husband, Robert of Selbyville, DE and Teresa A. Homan of Bernville; three grandchildren, Aaron Kozak and wife, Kim, Jason Kozak and Courtney Homan; and his great grandson, Ashton Kozak.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11-12 followed by the service with Rev.
