David Thoroughgood

November 13, 1958 — March 9, 2022

David A. Thoroughgood, 63, of Titusville, FL, formerly of Quakertown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Donald and Rose (Pratt) Thoroughgood.

David had a passion for cooking. He took that to heart and prepared marvelous meals for many residents as an Executive Chef in the kitchens of Courtenay Springs Village in Merritt Island, FL and previously at Moravian Village of Bethlehem in PA. He brought so much joy to his co-workers and the residents he served. When he had spare time, he could be found at the beach, the zoo, and enjoying the outdoors; he particularly loved to go hiking. He also loved cats and more importantly, loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Rzonca and boyfriend, Doug Koffel of Quakertown, PA; his nieces and nephews, Brandon and Courtney Wagner and Joseph and Andrew Garcia; and his great-niece, Alexandria Wagner.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with a burial following in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown, PA. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9 to 10:45 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. You may offer condolences and share memories at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com
