David Roy “Birdie” Hoff, 70, of Main Street, East Greenville died suddenly Thursday, December 1, 2011 at home.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward and Margaret (Swenk) Hoff.
He worked as a production worker for many years at Pillsbury Baking Company then worked for Miller Roofing for many years until retiring in 2006.
He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, the East Greenville Fire Company and the VFW #5954, Red Hill and was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
Surviving are a brother, Larry L. Hoff and his wife, Emily K. (Beard) of Pennsburg; a niece, Lori L., wife of John Hawkins of East Greenville; two nephews, James W. Hoff and his wife, Lisa of East Greenville and Peter J. Hoff of Pennsburg; 4 great nieces and nephews and 3 great great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. James R. Roth officiating. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
