David Geiger

May 25, 1953 — December 12, 2023

On Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, David A. Geiger, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather was released from his earthly chains and escorted by angels to his Father’s heavenly home. While our human hearts are overwhelmed with the grief of this unexpected and shocking loss, his children and I are taking comfort in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.

David was the loving husband of Pamela A. (Measler) Geiger, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage. Born in Trumbauersville, he was the son of the late Russell and Anna (Bleam) Geiger.

David was a self-employed contractor, and owner of David A. Geiger Contracting for over 40 years. Throughout his career he gave generously to the local community, donating time and materials to help Open Line, the Community Thrift Shop, local charities, as well as the less-fortunate and widows who needed plumbing and heating services

Known by the nickname “Kingfish” to many of his friends, David was an avid sports fisherman who fished the waters from Long Island Sound to the Gulf of Mexico every chance he got. Some of his proudest moments included bringing in a 204 lb. Tarpon after a 4-hour battle, and assisting with bringing in a world-record Hammerhead Shark in Boca Grande Pass.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Korisa Highfield and husband, Tim; two step-children, Nicole Cappetti and husband, Adam and Jesse Leister and wife, Kristal; four grandchildren, Calvin Highfield, Lorenzo and Lorelei Cappetti, and Brayson Leister; four siblings and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two siblings.

David was known and loved by everyone he came in contact with, and is remembered for his kindness, generosity, and big heart. He had that special ability to make anyone he met feel like an old friend in a minute. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Rd, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
