Darlis J. Lofton Fouts of East Greenville moved on to Glory on December 24, 2020 at home surrounded by family, in the loving arms of her husband of 67 years, Curtis Fouts. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Kathy Fouts, three sons, John Fouts and wife Deborah, Lawrence Fouts and wife Holly, and Gary Fouts. Sisters June Bierman of Indiana and Jo Ann Bostock of Texas. Granddaughters Elisabeth Fouts and Rachel Fouts. She was predeceased by her parents John and Berttie Floyd Lofton of Indiana and brother Donald Lofton of Florida.
Darlis was born in Fredericksburg IN on November 12, 1933. She resided in New Albany for 31 years, where she graduated from New Albany High School. She moved to Greenwood IN and then to East Greenville PA in 1981 where she later retired from St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem PA. Darlis volunteered at Quakertown Community Hospital, the Upper Perkiomen Community Thrift Shop, Upper Perkiomen Senior Community Center and Schwenkfelder Library. She was a member of the East Greenville Fire Company Auxiliary, where she served as Treasurer, and the Upper Perkiomen Senior Community Center. Darlis was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Harleysville, PA.
There will be a public viewing at Mann-Sloanaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA at 2:00 – 3:00PM on Wednesday, December 30. Service will be held at Love Funeral Home, Palmyra, IN. Interment will be at Horners Chapel Cemetery, Fredericksburg IN with family and relatives.
