Dale Swenk

February 6, 1942 — June 25, 2022

Dale B. Swenk, 80, of Perkiomenville, PA, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was the loving husband of Holly L. (Schell) Swenk, with whom he would have shared 53 years of marriage on Christmas Eve.

Born in East Greenville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Esther (Gracely) Swenk.

Dale was a 1960 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, where he was a proud football player. He then joined the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War; earning a Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a Combat Infantry Badge. After honorable discharge, he began his 50 year long career at Fire Stone Tire and Rubber Co. in Pottstown, PA as a tire builder and then a laborer when it transitioned to Occidental Chemical Corporation.

He enjoyed the outdoors; especially hunting and feeding the birds. He was a family man and his grandson, Ian, brought him immeasurable pride and joy throughout his life’s journey; he loved every moment he spent with him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Matthew Swenk and wife, Marie; grandson, Ian Swenk; his brother, Robert Swenk; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Nancy Nyce.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 10 to 10:45 AM. You may leave online condolences and share memories at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
