Colleen T. (Thomas) Pusey, 42, wife of Ralph S. Pusey of Pennsburg, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 in St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She and her husband celebrated 23 years of marriage on June 13th. Known by family and friends as “Beth”, she was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was a daughter of James W. and Luretta (Brockway) Thomas. She was a loving wife and mother who cared for her family as a homemaker and home-schooled her children. Colleen was a 1986 graduate of Boyertown High School.
She was an active member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church where she served as secretary of the Diaconate, librarian, and summer Sunday school teacher. She sang in the senior choir, worked with the youth group, and greatly enjoyed bible study on Sundays. She served as co- youth director, and was a member of the senior bell choir and the Board of Christian Education.
She was a past board member of the Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance Company, Pottstown, and served as seamstress for the company. She loved arts and crafts, and enjoyed U.S. history.
Along with her husband and parents she is survived by five children, Grace A. Pusey, Ethan J. Pusey, Abigail H. Pusey, Irene C. Pusey, and Samuel E. Pusey, all of Pennsburg; two sisters, Heather L. Thomas of Perkiomenville and Tara N. Thomas of Conway, NH; and three nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 12 p.m., noon, Friday, August 13th at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070, with Rev. Nicholas L. Pence officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
