Clyde J. Masemore, of Pennsburg, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Pennsburg Manor. He was 94 years old. He was the husband of the late Doris J. (Freed) Masemore sharing 65 years of marriage before her passing in 2016.
Born in Barto, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Mabel (Bittenbender) Masemore.
Clyde was a 1944 graduate of East Greenville High School. He was a self-employed dairy farmer from 1955 to 1992, 30 of which were on the Masemore Family Farm. He was also a Hereford Township Supervisor for 20 years and prior to that he was the chairman of the first Planning Committee for zoning in Hereford. In addition, in retirement he continued working on the farm until he was 88 years old.
Clyde was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, the Hereford Lions Club, Montgomery County DHIA, The Grundsow Lodge, and was extremely proud of his Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage. In retirement, he enjoyed extensive countrywide traveling with Doris, plus, he always loved the Philadelphia Eagles and Upper Perk football.
Surviving are his four children, Sherry, wife of William Kile of Barto, PA, Blaine Masemore and wife, Sharon of Bethlehem, Wendy, wife of Richard Chamberlain of Hatfield, and Keith Masemore and wife, Margaret of Barto; 11 grandchildren, Jarrod, Adam, Ryan, Lauren, Will, Kelly, Benjamin, Jacob, Maria, Louisa, and Peter; and 10 great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Kalie, Isaiah, Ava, Caleb, Ember, Alyssa, Ephrem, Titus, and Hunter. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Rosie Kahler.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
