Claude Britton

December 26, 1929 — April 11, 2013

Claude B. Britton, 83, widower of Jean C. (Trollinger), of Macungie, died April 11, 2013 in The Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born in Brashear, Missouri, he was a son of the late Harry and Clara (Cornett) Britton.

Claude served his country as part of the United States Marine Corps. He went on to serve on the Pennsburg and East Greenville police force before beginning a career with Mack Trucks in Allentown. He was an avid traveler and belonged to the Figural Bottle Opener Collectors Club.

Survivors: sons, Timothy and wife, Karen, Pennsburg, Jesse Britton and wife, Rona. Bechtelsville, step-children, Barry Mensch, Whitehall, Jeff Sell, Macungie, Debra Mensch Gery, Port Orange, FL; brother, William, Barto; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, James and two sisters, Evelyn Gaugler and Shirley East.

Services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. Offer condolences at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
