Claire H. (Lindenmuth) Ruth, 78, of Red Hill, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Pennsburg Manor. She was the loving wife of David R. Ruth sharing 52 years of marriage together.
Born in Shenandoah, PA, she was a daughter of the late Leroy A. and Bertha E. (Ulshafer) Lindenmuth.
She was a 1959 graduate of Kenwood High School in Essex, MD and then became a key punch operator for Anchor Fence in Baltimore, MD and Leed’s and Northrup, PA.
Claire was a former member of the Souderton Jayceettes. She enjoyed painting; however, her greatest passion was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband are her children, Mark L. Ruth and Laura L., wife of Robert McDowell; grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Rachel and Aidan ; her great-grandson, Kaycen; and her two sisters, Donna Anthony and Wendy, wife of Nicky Wake.
She is predeceased in death by her two brothers, Guy and Dale Lindenmuth.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. A burial will follow in Frieden’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 12 to 1 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
