Christine “Tina” A. (Kalb) Herbst, 77, of Red Hill, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. She was the loving wife of Wilfried “Willie” Herbst, sharing 56 years of marriage together.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Anna (Hotegel) Kalb.
Tina graduated from Souderton Area High School in 1959 and earned a Secretaryship Degree from Pierce Business School in 1961 and went on to be a secretary for Auto Associates, VW in King of Prussia for many years.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumneytown and a former member of both the Bavarian Club of Philadelphia and Cannstatter Volkfest Verein of Philadelphia.
She enjoyed crafting, flowers, and baking and decorating cakes.
Surviving along with her husband, are her two children, Mark W. Herbst and wife, Karen of Green Lane and Elaine D., wife of Jason Stauffer of Ottsville; four grandchildren, Jarrett, Allison, Evan and Nichole; and two sisters, Louise McMurtrie of Greentown and Johanna Matczak of Souderton.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a granddaughter, Abby and a sister, Mary Frank.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church,
3104 Main Street, Green Lane, PA 18054 with Rev. Rebecca Schanely officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 am at the church prior to the service. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
