Charles Greulich

November 5, 1952 — July 19, 2021

Charles F. Greulich passed on after a brief illness on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the age of 68 with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Charles Beiteman Greulich and Mary Erma Fox. He is survived by brothers, Thomas F. of Boyertown and Frederick F. and Ruth Streetman of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by many extended family members in the Greulich and Fox families.

Charlie graduated from the Boyertown Area Senior High School and Kutztown University where he was the class treasurer in 1974.

He was employed at the Mrs. Smith Pie Company for five years and was also employed as a long-term substitute teacher at the secondary level in the Pennsylvania public schools. Charlie was employed in the human services profession for 26 years. He was employed by the Indian Creek Foundation in Harleysville, Montgomery County Care Management in Norristown, and Service Access and Management in Reading. Charlie retired in 2018.

Charlie was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pennsburg and served on the church council for seven years. He was also involved with environmental issues, followed state wide political activity and was a railroad fan. He supported the Salvation Army, The Anatomical Gift Foundation, and various agencies who battled hunger and poverty. He was a traveler who vacationed in Florida several times annually. He enjoyed collegiate athletics; particularly, football, basketball and baseball.

Charlie was a compassionate, giving and selfless guy. He left this world a better place for all those individuals whom he connected with. He always put other individuals wishes ahead of his own. His family is so proud of his accomplishments and will miss him terribly.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pennsburg at a later date. Charlie, known as a giving person has continued to give even in his death as his wish was to donate his body to Anatomy Gifts Registry in Hanover, MD. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
