Chaney L. Alulis, 77, of East Greenville, passed away in Georgia on June 3, 2024. She was the loving soulmate of Clement V. Alulis with whom she would have shared 32 years of marriage this July.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Ervin Paige and Laura (Cason).
Chaney was a graduate of Ben Franklin High School and earned an associate’s degree from Philadelphia Community College. She served as a Philadelphia police officer for 13 years before retiring. She also owned a dress shop named Leenda Boutique in Philadelphia and Ardmore.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Clement; two daughters, Rosalind and Deneane Grigger; a sister, Shirley; five grandchildren, Jerry, Brandon, Devon, Drayonna and Dajour Grigger; two step-sons, Clement and Matthew Alulis; two step-grandchildren, Rachel and Andrew Alulis; and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by an infant son Shelton, Jr., seven sisters and two brothers.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073. A viewing will begin at 10 AM. She will be laid to rest privately. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Dementia Society of America, 188 N Main St, Doylestown, PA 18901.
