Carl M. Wahl, 89, husband of Dorothy E. (Walter) Wahl, of Pennsburg, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Grand View Hospital.
Born in East Greenville, he was a son of the late Morris and Mary (Carl) Wahl.
He was a graduate of East Greenville High School.
Carl was a delivery salesman for the former Brunner’s Bakery, a milk delivery man for Woodson’s Dairy, school bus driver for Levi’s Bus Co. and a bus driver for Harleysville Senior Center. He served as the East Greenville Mayor and on Borough Council.
He was a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC, East Greenville; a former member of the Lion’s Club and Owls; and a life member of the American Legion Post #184.
Carl served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was stationed abroad in England and Germany.
Surviving along with his wife of 67 years, are his children, Bruce Wahl of Pennsburg and Linda, wife of Darcy Sheaffer of Pennsburg; sister, Fern, wife of Hugh McNaughton of East Greenville and a grand dog, Darla.
