C. Earl Clevenstine, Jr., 82, husband of the late Joan E. (Kline) Clevenstine, of Pennsburg, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at home.
Born in Conshohocken, he was the son of the late May Lavina (Ledger) and Clarence Earl Clevenstine, Sr.
He was a graduate of Norristown High School and worked for 30 years in Marketing for the former Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania and AT&T.
Earl was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Sumneytown. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are 4 children: C. Earl Clevenstine, III of Souderton, PA; Mary S. Eberle of Perkasie, PA; Karen Heffernan of Pennsburg, PA and Carl E. Clevenstine and wife, Robin of Warrington, PA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Clevenstine. He was also survived by a sister, Bette Dawson, wife of John Russell Dawson of Vermont and ten grandchildren: Kelly Eberle, Josh Clevenstine, Carl Clevenstine, Jake Eberle, Clinton Clevenstine, William Heffernan, Westley Heffernan, Samantha Clevenstine, Scott Clevenstine and Sean Clevenstine.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.
