Bonnie A. Snyder, of Gilbertsville, peacefully left this world on November 12, 2024, at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Cora (Buck) Setzler.
Bonnie graduated from Upper Perk High School in 1966. She married her husband, Calvin A. Snyder, and together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Bonnie initially worked at Harleysville Insurance before deciding to focus on raising her children with love and care. In 1988, she returned to the workforce, finding joy as a secretary at Wendy's Flowers in Gilbertsville until her retirement.
A compassionate and community-oriented woman, Bonnie was a member of the New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, where she volunteered at church suppers and devoted her time to helping others. She was also an active member of various community groups, including the Green Lane Ladies Auxiliary, her card club, and serving as a former Den Mother for Troop 291. Known for her passion for ceramics, Bonnie's creative spirit brightened the lives of those around her
Bonnie cherished her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was the pillar of strength that held her family together. Her caring nature and willingness to help others left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she will be deeply missed by her two children, Douglas Snyder and wife, Dawn and Valory McMunn and fiancé, George Schmitt; four grandchildren, Kirsten and Austin Snyder and Catherin and Caila McMunn; great-grandson, Isaiah Macomber; her sister, Nancy Harvey; and two nieces and two nephews.
An evening viewing will be held at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041 on Monday, November 18th from 6 to 8 PM. A second viewing will be held the next afternoon, Tuesday, November 19th at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Rd, East Greenville, PA starting at 12 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1 PM. A burial will take place in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be made in her memory to New Goshenhoppen UCC.
