Bonnie Fisher

June 10, 1943 — September 6, 2022

Bonnie L. (Wittman) Fisher, 79, of Green Lane, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was born in Catasauqua, PA on June 10, 1943 to parents Harry and Mary (Davis) Wittman.

Bonnie graduated from Catasauqua High School in 1961 and pursued a nursing career from Allentown School of Nursing, graduating as an R.N. in 1964. She married Conrad Fisher in 1967, and together lived a very eventful life on the farm in Green Lane; successfully raising their two children, Conrad Fisher, Jr. (married to Jennifer) and Kacy Rea (married to Paul).

Bonnie experienced a very active life, first, as a registered nurse in the operating room at Allentown General and Haverford General Hospitals. She was later a mental health nurse at Graterford Prison for many years before her retirement. Much of her life was spent being a mother and wife, always providing family meals, holiday traditions, and supporting and caring for those around her. She loved all of the family dogs through the years, especially her most recent best furry friends, Gunner and Heidi (GWP). Bonnie was a dedicated member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ in East Greenville, PA where she was a leader in Women’s Fellowship and a leader in the Grief Support Group. She stayed active in many activities throughout her life such as cooking, reading, and enjoying her various flower gardens even while enduring a well-managed kidney disease, and until most recently being diagnosed with ALS-Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

In addition to her husband and two children, she is survived by her six grandchildren whom she adored and loved spending time with: Elizabeth, Peter and Tommy Fisher and Kieran, Teagan and Kaidan Rea. Bonnie is predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Bruce and Bill Wittman.

A funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Rd, East Greenville, PA 18041.
