Betty L. (Jobeck) Risko, 88, of Perkiomenville, passed away at home with her family of Heart Failure and Diabetic complications, on Tuesday, May 27, 2015. She was the wife of the Late Peter Risko.
Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy P. (Sheffy) and Frank C. Jobeck, Sr.
Betty was a homemaker and had worked as a cashier and hostess for The Pennsburg Diner for 12 years and also the CVS in Boyertown.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg and participated in the Ladies Auxiliary of the church. She was a 1945 graduate of Pottstown High School and was active with the reunions and monthly gatherings.
Betty also worked in her parent’s floral shop, Jobeck’s Florist and Greenhouse in Pottstown for many years and after closing continued making floral arrangements as a hobby. She enjoyed being around people and entertaining at her farm.
Surviving are her children, Christine E. Lehr, of Perkiomenville, Peter T. Risko and wife, Deborah, of Pottstown, Donna Warriner, of Boyertown, and William S. Risko of Perkiomenville; a sister, Sara Jane Hartenstine, of Pottstown; 4 Grandchildren, John, Jr, Angela, Michael, and Sean; and 6 Great Grandchildren, Alexander, Gabrielle, John III, Alexis, Michael, Jr., and Mikayla. Along with her husband, and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Jean Jobeck and a brother, Frank C. Jobeck, Jr.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at St. Philip Neri Church 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg, PA. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
