Bernard Reck

June 13, 1947 — February 1, 2019

Bernard F. Reck, 71, of East Greenville, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Treverton, he was a son of the late Francis B. and Gladys A. (Klemick) Reck.

He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and was also a K-9 handler.

Bernie was a hairdresser for 47 years, working for Hair Cuttery in Conshohocken and previously owning and operating Head Hunters in East Greenville.

He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg.

Surviving are his brother, Michael J. Reck and wife, Darlene of East Greenville; and his two sisters, Nancy A., wife of Thomas Fiorito of Macungie and Janet A., wife of Michael Macenka of Coplay.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. A burial will follow with Military Honors in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
