Bernadette (Folkman) Bevington, 78, of Burgundy Circle, Red Hill, formerly of Hill Road, Green Lane, died on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
She was the wife of Charles E. Bevington celebrating 59 years of marriage on October 28, 2009.
Born in Bethlehem, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Folkman.
She retired from the family owned textile and apparel business, Spring Ford Industries in Spring City, PA where she worked for many years.
She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown, a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and enjoyed casino trips to Atlantic City, NJ.
Surviving along with her husband, Charles, are five children, Jeff Bevington and his wife, Sharon of Pottstown, Thomas Bevington and his wife, Caroline of Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, Francis Bevington and his wife, Rose of Ellenboro, N.C., Charles Bevington and his wife, Susan of Boyertown and Elizabeth Bevington and her partner, Jeanette Elliott of Pottstown; a sister, Elizabeth Feiertag of Alburtis and eleven grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Dolores Berninger.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the church.
