Benjamin Rober

Our beloved Benjamin Michael Rober has passed after a nearly 7 year, courageous fight with Glioblastoma Multiform (brain cancer) on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 48 years old. Born on March 26, 1976, in Green Lane, PA, Ben was the loving son of Kathy (Koffel) Werner, wife of John of Green Lane and the late, Mark Rober. Ben lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Ben was married to Michelle (Reichenbach) Rober for over 21 wonderful years. Their relationship was a testament to love and partnership, characterized by laughter, support, and the joy of family life. As a devoted husband, Ben cherished every moment he spent with Michelle, and his love for their two sons, Michael and Garett (girlfriend Jada) knew no bounds. He was not only a father but also a guiding figure, instilling in his sons the values of hard work and love. He is also survived by his siblings, Mark and wife, Kamishia, Rebekah and husband, Robert; Stephanie, Rob, and Emmanuel and wife, Amanda; many nieces and nephews along with countless friends and extended family members who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.

Ben was a 1994 graduate of Upper Perk High School and then began a career as a highly skilled stone mason, dedicating his life working for Schroeder Masonry. He was an artisan in his trade and created many structures that will be here for many years to admire. More than a skilled tradesman, Ben was a man of kindness and integrity, always offering a helping hand to those in need anytime they needed it. Ben was the glue that brought people together just through his kindness and willingness to see the best in everyone.

Ben's love for the outdoors was evident in his many adventures, particularly the cherished trips he took to his cabin with Michelle, Michael, Garett and other family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the simple pleasure of sitting around the campfire with friends and playing games. His annual Memorial Day pig roast became a beloved tradition, uniting friends and family in celebration, showcasing Ben's exceptional ability to create community and joy. His adventurous spirit also led him on memorable trips to Idaho for mule deer hunting, where he camped in his homemade camper alongside Michael, his dear Uncle Don and close friends. His amazing smile and his willingness to be a friend will always be remembered and cherished by everyone he met.

Ben also had a love for his country that was rooted in his family legacy, inspired by his father, Mark Rober, a proud Navy veteran. This love was reflected in his everyday life, embodying the values of honor and service. Ben will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ben was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform on February 15th, 2018. He powered through the treatments and was doing well until October 2023 when more tumors were discovered. He fought for the next year with grit, never complaining, at Abramson Cancer Center in Philadelphia. He was admired for his positive attitude by his doctors and hospital staff.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 to 4 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the East Greenville Fire Co. Social Hall, 401 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A time to share memories will begin at 12:15 PM and following, his family invites anyone to join them in honoring Ben in a Truck Cruise down Main Street (Rt. 29) from the East Greenville Firehouse to Red Hill Firehouse and back as this was one of Ben's favorite memories. A meal and fellowship will continue after until 4 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
