Barbara J. Trumbore

May 5, 1928 — August 24, 2024

Warminster

Barbara J. Trumbore, resident of Christ's Home in Warminster, formerly of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the age of 96. Barbara was born on May 5, 1928, in Tarrytown, NY to the late Frank and Mary (Bauer) Fogel. Barbara shared 60 blissful years of marriage with her late husband, Larry M. Trumbore, Sr. before his passing in 2013.

During World War II she enjoyed all the dances and tending bar at her parents’ restaurant. She also tended bar at the Marlborough Inn in Green Lane. She graduated from Pennsburg High School in 1946, and later became a full-time mom and raised three children. When all her children were in school, she embarked on a career as the Head Cafeteria Cook for the Upper Perk School District, where she shared her culinary talents with countless students and staff members in the former Green Lane Elementary School and then the current Marlborough Elementary School.

Barbara will be most known for her sense of humor and finding joy in life. She enjoyed the simple things in life, raising many pets, baking, painting and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She was a faithful Catholic her entire life and her greatest source of happiness stemmed from the deep love she had for her family.

Her warm and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and community. She is survived by children, Mary deAngeli; Larry M. Trumbore, Jr. and wife, Kimberlee; and Shawn Bunting and her husband Steven; eight grandchildren, Kenton, Katherine, Sarah, Matthew, Laura Craig, Jacqueline and Eric; and four great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by four brothers and two sisters from the Fogel family.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 5th at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Parish, 259 Forest Ave, Ambler, PA 19002.
