Barbara M. “Bobbie” Hensler Snyder, 80, wife of Samuel H. Snyder, of Frederick and formerly of Green Lane, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville with her family by her bedside.
Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Sheridan and Emma (Dawson) Hensler.
Bobbie worked in the press department at American Olean Tile Co., in Lansdale for 23 years before retiring in 1996; after retiring she worked as a cashier for 7 years at the Walmart in Harleysville.
Bobbie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumneytown.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, are three children, Donna, wife of Thomas Hoffner of Quakertown; Jeffrey Snyder and wife, Tammy of East Greenville and Dale Snyder and wife, Sharon of Bethlehem; two siblings, Sheridan Hensler and wife, Mary of Florida and Doris Vache of Souderton; four grandchildren, Dustin, Benjamin, Jaclyn and Craig and four great-grandchildren, Benjamin Jr., Jacob, Remy and Josephine. In Addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, a sister, Emma and a granddaughter, Samantha Snyder.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown, PA with the Rev. Rebecca Eisenhart officiating. Burial follows in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday prior to the service.
