Barbara S. (Burkett) Dehaven, 63, of Schwenskville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown, PA; where she is now resting peacefully with her late husband, Michael Warren DeHaven.
Born in Painsville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth V. and Naomi R. (Makins) Burkett.
She worked for 23 years as a cake decorator, before retiring from Genuardi’s Supermarket, Royersford, PA.
Barbara was a member of Tri Country Bible Church, Gilbertsville, PA; where she was a contributor to the church newsletter and was very active in the Perkiomen Twp. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, especially her grandchildren. Barbara loved to read, garden, go camping, and spending time outside.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Sherrie L. DeHaven and Larry Rohrbach, Schwenksville, PA and Danielle M. DeHaven and Joel Chisholm, Boyertown, PA; 7 siblings, Beth Ann, widow of Tom; Kenneth, husband of Susan; Peggy, wife of Tim; Kathy, wife of Paul; Pamala, wife of Jerry; Dotty, wife of Phil and Wendell, husband of Dawn; 4 grandchildren, Bailey and Braelyn Stewart; Aspen Chisholm and Alston DeHaven and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Tri County Bible Church, 142 Buchert Rd, Gilbertsville, PA 19525 with Rev. Lee Hallman officiating. Burial follows in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 until 10:45 am, Tuesday at the church and to a viewing from 7:00 until 8:30pm, Monday evening at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041.
