Arlene R. (Roshong) Long, 88, widow of Homer Long, formerly of Spring Mount, PA, passed away, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Spring Mount, PA, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Emma S. (Hunsicker) Roshong.
Arlene graduated from Schwenksville High School in 1947 and was employed at American Olean Tile Co. in Lansdale as a sorter for 25 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Old Goshenhoppen Reformed Church in Woxall. She was also a member of the Freeland Chapter #323 and the Lower Frederick Ladies Auxiliary.
Arlene enjoyed quilting, embroidering, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her two children, Terry Long and wife, Diane of Souderton, PA and Robin, wife of George Smith of Pennsburg, PA; six grandchildren Amanda & husband, Ed, Andrew and wife, Katie, Lauren and husband, Peter, Kyle, Eric, and Brian; and eight great-grandchildren, Ayden, Sadie, Eric, Tyler, Logan, Ava, AJ and Henry.
She is predeceased by her sister, Grace Roshong.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Old Goshenhoppen Reformed Church, 2092 Church Road, Woxall, PA 18979. Burial follows in church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Sympathy may be extended to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
