Anne M. (Towey) Kurash, 69, of Campbell Road, Green Lane, died on January 22, 2011 at St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Kurash and they had been married for 14 years when he passed away.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores (Kane) Towey.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg.
Surviving are three children, Michael P. McMahon and wife, Lisa of Colorado, Anne M. Landis and husband, Donald of Quakertown and John R. McMahon and wife, Mary Beth of Maryland; siblings, Carol Swearingen of Green Lane and Joseph Towey of Texas and six grandchildren, Michael, James, Alicia, Ryan, Joseph and Shannon. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law, James Swearingen.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Friends and relatives may call from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
