Alice “Faye” (Hetrick) Mutter, 79, of Bally, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 2,2021 at the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the loving wife of Leo D. “Boots” Mutter, having shared 63 years of marriage together.
Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Ida (Kercher) Hetrick and the sister of the late Douglas Hetrick.
Faye was a 1959 graduate of Boyertown High School and after graduation she worked as a dispatcher until 1966 and then stayed home to raise her children. Following, she waitressed at Longacre’s Dairy in Bally, became the Judge of Elections for Bally Borough for many years and lastly, became a notary and bookkeeper with her husband at Mutter and Stauffer Auto in East Greenville.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Emmaus Gardening Club. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and in her earlier years, she enjoyed bringing out her artistic side in painting.
Surviving along with her husband are her two sons, Randall A. Mutter and wife, Loree of Ishpeming, MI and Glenn A. Mutter and wife, Wendy of Bally; six grandchildren, Allana and Austin Mutter, Don Reynolds, Kari Dotterer, Justin Eddinger, and Sierra Mutter; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A burial will follow in Falkner Swamp Cemetery.
