Albert P. Weinsteiger, 85, of Barto, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband to Eleanor C. (Bauman) Weinsteiger with whom he shared 64 years of marriage May 10, 2016.
Born in Bechtelsville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Chipakites) Weinsteiger.
Albert was a paramedic for Bally Ambulance for 30 years and was one of first paramedics to serve the Bally Ambulance Association.
He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bally.
In addition to his wife, he will be missed by his two sons, Albert P. Weinsteiger, Jr. and wife, Judy of Barto, PA and Philip B. Weinsteiger and fiancé, Clair of Green Lane, PA; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Krista, Erin, Philip, Ryan, Tiffany, Hope, Travis and Drew; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Shane, Logan and Mason; and his three sisters, Gertrude Barret, Ruth Meitzler and Barbara Kreibel.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by an infant brother, Charles.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19503 with Rev. Adam Sedar officiating. Burial will follow in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation time. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
