CARL F. SLONAKER, JR. FUNERAL DIRECTOR & SUPERVISOR Mr. Slonaker is a native of the Upper Perkiomen Valley. He graduated from the Upper Perkiomen High School in 1973. He then attended the Mortuary Science Program at Northampton Community College and graduated in 1985, with a degree in Applied Science and General Education. He is a member of the following organizations, New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville, The Upper Perkiomen Rotary Club, The Perkiomen Masonic Lodge, Tall Cedar's and The Shriners, and the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce. Carl is also a member of The National Funeral Directors Association, The Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and The Montgomery County Funeral Directors Association. Mr. Slonaker also finds time to be an active member on the Board of Directors for the Upper Perkiomen Y.M.C.A and is a member of corporate Board of Managers of the Pottstown & Upper Perkiomen Family YMCA . He is married to Sheri Mann Slonaker, daughter of Sam & Mildred Mann, previous owner of the funeral home, has three sons, Steven, Christopher & Carson and is a grandfather to three grandchildren, Josh, Nathan, and Emily.
 STEPHEN M. SCHOFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR Although Mr. Schofer grew up in Bethlehem, he has strong family ties to the Upper Perkiomen Valley area. Both his parents and grandparents resided in the Pennsburg and East Greenville areas. He is a 1986 graduate from Liberty High School and a 1991 graduate of the Mortuary Science Program at Northampton Community College with a degree in Applied Science and General Education. Steve joined the funeral home staff directly after graduation serving his intership with the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home. He is a member of The Upper Perkiomen Lion's Club, the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Bally Sportsmen's Association. He is also a member of The National Funeral Directors Association, The Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and The Montgomery County Funeral Directors Association. Steve is single, lives in Red Hill and is an avid cyclist holding memberships to the League of American Bicyclists, the USA Cycling Federation and the Lehigh Wheelman Association.
LEON PENNEPACKER Born and raised in East Greenville, Leon is a vetern of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army from 1949 to 1952. He is married to Margaret "Maggie" S. (Fox) Pennepacker, who is a member of our clerical staff. Leon and Maggie, still live in East Greenville where they have raised three children, Leon, Peggy and Michelle. They are proud grandparents of twin boys, Conner and Jack. In 1996 Leon retired from his own landscaping business. He is a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ.
MARGARET "MAGGIE" PENNEPACKER Also born and raised in East Greenville, Maggie comes from a large close-knit family. She is a mother of three, grandmother of twin boys and a homemaker. She also worked many years as a church secretary. She is now a valued part-time member of our funeral home clerical staff. Maggie is a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ where she frequently volunteers in the church office and is a member of the church choir.
RICHARD GULDIN Dick is a life long resident of East Greenville. He graduated from Upper Periomen High School in 1955. After serving in the United States Navy, he returned to marry and raise a family. He and his wife, Eleanor, are proud parents of five children. Dick has been an active participant in the community serving as a volunteer fireman and ambulance driver. He also, has been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for many years. In 1998, Dick retired from Merck. He is a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, where his is a church Elder, and a member of the Consistory and choir.
GEORGE SMITH George grew up in Folsom, PA, and was a 1959 graduate of Ridley Township High. He served in the United States Air Force for four years before returning to Pennsylvania. He married and has two sons, Eric and Brian. He and his current wife, Robin, resice in East Greenville, where they are raising a daughter, Lauren, and a son, Kyle. He has two grandsons. In 1994 George retired from Merck, where he was employed for almost 25 years. He is a member of Old Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, in Woxall. George is and active member of the Perkiomen Masonic Lodge #595. Along with working at the funeral home, George is also a part time employee at Macoby Run Golf Course, where he is able to pursue another of his interests -- Golf.
