Obituary for Harold R. Younger
Harold R. Younger, 79, husband of Edna M. (Snyder) Blevins Younger, of Macungie, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Hereford Township, he was a son of the late Robert R. and Eva A. (Siegfried) Younger.
Harold worked on production at Bally Case and Cooler for many years. Prior to that, he worked at Boyertown Casket Company and The Foundry in Boyertown.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Union Church in Macungie.
Harold enjoyed camping and traveling and loved his dogs Pepper and Lucky.
Surviving along with his wife are his five children, Gail L. Holt of Macungie, Greg H. Younger and wife, Donna of Topton, Tina A., wife of Russell Rothrock of Alburtis, Richard R. Younger of Reading and Keith A. Younger and wife, Tammy of Emmaus; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Younger and wife, Arlene of Topton and Charles Younger and wife, Celia of Reading.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Barbara Geist.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Pastor Robin Roman officiating. Burial follows in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Allentown. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
